Age and ID Policies

ID Requirements

Government-issued photographic ID is required for your appointment at Rogue. Failure to present the original document in-person when requested will lead to a refusal of service, as we cannot pierce without proof of identity. The pre-paid piercing fee will be retained by Rogue. We are very strict on ID as it is an important safeguarding procedure to protect minors – This is for the benefit of yourself or your child.

Accepted ID includes: Passport, Driving License, or valid UK Citizencard.

We do not accept: Library cards, school ID cards, bus passes etc. If in doubt about whether we would accept your ID, please contact us in advance of booking. We explicitly do NOT accept photographs, videos, photocopies, or video calls of your ID. You must have the original document in your hand at your appointment.

Under-16s

Any client under the age of 16 must bring their own ID, plus a parent or legal guardian must be present also with their own ID.

If your child does not have any photographic ID, we cannot pierce them so please ensure they have ID in time for their appointment. This two-item ID system is needed as you must prove you are the parent or legal guardian in order to legally consent for them to be pierced. If you and your child do not share a surname, you must bring a third form of ID such as a birth certificate with your name on it to validate your relationship.

Over-16s:

Children over 16 and adults over 18 must bring their own ID, and must self-consent.

This means that a parent or legal guardian cannot consent for them. They do not need to bring a parent or guardian to their appointment. The over-16 must provide their own ID – Again, a parent’s ID alone is not sufficient nor accepted.

Minors in the Studio:

Children under the age of 16 cannot be left unattended in the studio. We cannot supervise children for you while you are getting pierced. Piercings take up to 40 minutes to perform, so please plan childcare for the duration of your visit!

To maintain a calm and relaxed atmosphere, it is not recommended to have children that are not getting pierced in the studio as they can be disruptive to other clients. We may request that under-16s be taken elsewhere to wait during appointments for other people. Thank you for your understanding.

The full terms and conditions can be read here. We highly recommend reading them before booking your appointment.
