FAQ

Do I need an appointment?

We work on an appointment-only basis. We highly recommend booking an appointment for any piercing or checkup services. We do offer walk-in appointments depending on our availability at that specific time, however we strongly recommend booking an appointment particularly for weekends to avoid disappointment!

Do you take cash payments?

We are a card-only studio, so please ensure you have your card or a method of card payment such as Apple Pay with you!

What is your jewellery made from?

We stock a wide range of jewellery, but no matter what you choose you can be assured that it is implant-grade, and safe to wear for a lifetime. Our jewellery is manufactured by UKAPP and APP verified brands from either ASTM F-136/F-1295 compliant Titanium, or solid nickel-free 14k and 18k Gold.

Our solid Gold jewellery ends are combined with ASTM F-136 Titanium labrets (backings) for a beautiful, body-safe, and budget-conscious look. Solid Gold labrets, barbell shafts and curved barbells are available upon request and custom order. Your Titanium labrets can also be anodised to a warm rose or yellow tone for a suitable, unnoticeable match.

Can I bring my own jewellery to be pierced with?

We do not use externally sourced jewellery for any piercing under any circumstances. We offer jewellery that meets the utmost highest standards of quality, with a proven implant-grade status. We cannot verify the safety of any other jewellery. Piercing with unverified, externally sourced jewellery voids our insurance policies and UKAPP membership.

Do you use needles or guns for piercings?

Rogue exclusively uses single-use blade needles for every piercing. We do not use piercing guns, nor do we condone their use in any piercing. As proud members of the UKAPP, we believe that piercing guns are unsafe, unsanitary and inappropriate for use on any person.

Can you pierce both of my childs earlobes at the same time?

Tandem piercings are quite popular for younger people and children. As standard, you are booking with a single piercer who will pierce one at a time (we are good, but we aren’t magicians!). If you would like to book in for tandem piercings, you need to phone the studio in order to book. The piercing fee for tandem lobes is £60 – This covers the time of two piercers instead of one.

Can I bring children to my appointment?

Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to be left unattended at our studio. Please note that while you are getting a piercing, you cannot safely look after your child at the same time, so childcare should be organised.

To maintain a calm and relaxed atmosphere in the studio, it is not recommended to bring under-16s to the studio that are not getting pierced. Children can easily become bored and disruptive, so we recommend that childcare takes children outside of the studio, for example to a local cafe, so that the studio can remain an enjoyable place for other clients.

Can you use numbing cream?

We explicitly do not use numbing chemicals, creams etc of any kind for any reason. This breaches the terms of our insurance, and is not within our licensing remit as piercers. We promise the piercing is not as scary or as uncomfortable as you are imagining.

What piercings don’t you offer?

At Rogue we are absolutely dedicated to offering only safe, sane piercings that have the potential to last you a full lifetime. This means that we do not offer certain piercings.

We do not offer:

  • Snake Eye Piercings. (Horizontal tongue piercings)
  • Frog Eye Piercings. (Horizontal tongue piercings)
  • Scoop Piercings. (Horizontal surface tongue piercings)
  • Horizontal lip piercings.
  • Surface piercings on the neck (including nape), hands, fingers, legs and feet.
  • Microdermals on the cheeks in lieu of legitimate cheek piercings.
  • Nasallang Piercings. (Straight barbells through both nostrils and septum)
  • Hand web piercings. (Piercings through the webbing between thumb and pointer finger)
Are you wheelchair accessible?

Yes! Rogue Piercing is fully wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair access is available to both the entrance, every piercing room and the lobby. Please note we do not have a wheelchair accessible toilet as we are based inside a Grade 2 listed building and cannot make adjustments to the existing architecture.

Are you accessible to Neurodivergent accessible?

Absolutely! Our aim is to be accessible to every single person. Rogue has multiple neurodivergent staff members, so we know how important it is to be welcoming and accessible. Please contact us in advance of your booking if you have any special requests, including us extending your appointment, removing ambient music or any other reasonable adjustments. We recommend booking for Monday or Thursday appointments if you specifically need a quiet studio with no other clients.

I have a service animal. Are they allowed to attend piercing appointments?

Yes. Service animals registered via the 2010 Equality Act are absolutely allowed to assist their owner during their visit to Rogue. Please note that all service/assistance animals such as guide dogs or mobility assistance animals must be registered and paperwork needs to be provided. As we need to maintain an incredibly hygienic environment, unregistered animals are not permitted. Emotional support animals are not permitted. We recommend contacting us in advance of your appointment so that we can make reasonable adjustments to our service, which may include booking your appointment to the start or end of the day to allow us time to fully decontaminate the studio afterwards to remove dander, fluids and dirt.

I’ve had lip filler. Can I get a lip piercing?

We are unable to pierce through lip filler of any kind – This is due to our insurance policies. We usually recommend waiting 6 months after having your filler dissolved before booking in for a lip piercing.

Can I be pierced whilst pregnant or breastfeeding?

We do not pierce clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding due to both our insurance policies, and the potential risk of harm to your child.

Do you offer intimate (genital) piercings?

Yes! We are a genital piercing specialist studio and offer a wide variety of intimate piercings both standard and ‘unusual.’ We have an entire page covering intimate piercings in depth. We offer intimate work to clients strictly over the age of 18. We pierce all genders, including those undergoing HRT or having received gender confirming surgeries. All intimate piercings require an in-person consultation beforehand which can be booked on our website!
